The road from Argostoli
Argostoli is on the west coast, Melissani on the east, and the road between them crosses the island: about 30 km, 35 to 40 minutes. Read that again for the shape of the day: the 10:00 bus puts you at the lake at the same time as the coaches, and the only useful bus home is the 17:50.
